*Monday, February 25th @ 6:30 - 8:30 pm @ Kirkland Town Library, 55 College Street, Clinton.   Climate Change Working Group of IMV Meeting.  Monthly meeting of the Climate Change issue group for IMV. This group is focused on advocacy for legislation, especially at the state level, that will protect the environment and reduce climate change.

*Tuesday, February 26th @ 6:00 - 9:00 pm, Herkimer County Democrats Monthly Meeting, @ Moose River Coffee, 70 Otsego St, Ilion.  RESCHEDULED to coincide with the start of petitioning season.  Regular Monthly Meeting.  IF you did not petition in 2018 to be on the committee, there are openings that can be made by appointment until the next petitioning cycle.  Join Us!  Let us know if you are interested in appointment!  (Petitions, when due, require about 10 signatures, on average, from Dems in your district.  Lists are provided.)

*Wednesday, February 27th @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm @ The State Capitol, Albany.  Fair Elections Advocacy Day, Bus Trip to the State Capitol.  Co-Sponsored by CNY Citizen Action and IMV’s new Election Reforms issue Group. It’s time to reject the big-money status quo and make people the most important currency in Albany.  We must pass comprehensive campaign finance reform, including a small donor matching system.  To tackle the crises we face in housing, living wage jobs, criminal justice, affordable healthcare, transportation, climate, fair taxes, and more, we must transform a campaign finance system that advantages the interests of the few over those of the many.  Transportation and lunch will be provided.
